Resile Health Clinic opening 4 July!

Did you know that your employees can be treated for workplace injuries at Resile Health Clinic at Nudgee Road, Hamilton?

Equipped to treat most occupational injuries and illnesses, our new clinic and its team will see employees quickly for initial assessment and management. All injured employees are immediately triaged so there are no lengthy delays in treatment.

Unlike general practice clinics, we specialise in occupational injuries. This allows us to provide a high level of expertise in workplace health and a focus on early return to work whenever possible. Services provided by our workplace health clinics include:

• suture of straightforward lacerations
• removal of foreign bodies from eyes
• treatment of fractures, spike injuries, crush injuries, head injuries (contusions)*
• treatment of insect bites, skin reactions, burns and skin conditions
• treatment of muscle strains
• physiotherapy
• psychological treatment.
  *other than compound fractures, excessive bleeding, significantly impaired consciousness or breathing.

Acute injuries will be seen on the same day. Please ensure you contact the clinic in advance to notify them of your arrival.

Call 000 for possible heart attacks, strokes, multiple injuries and for individuals who are unconscious. For less serious injuries or illnesses (where you worker does not need to leave the site) call Resile and request an Resile Acute Medical Management Service. Other benefits of using your local Resile Health Clinic

• Occupational Health expertise available on site
• Medical Clearance Certificate: Our occupationally trained doctors can provide a second opinion for work on non-work related medical conditions for any employee who has already obtained a clearance from their treating doctor if you are in any doubt about their capacity to safely return to work
• Work Cover Certificates issued listing possible suitable duties that the employee is able to perform with the aim to return your employee back to work on suitable duties where appropriate
• Ongoing liaison as required between Resile Health doctors and your Return to Work Coordinators and Health and Safety Officers
• Where required, employees will be referred for early physiotherapy management on the same day or the next day, with follow up until the employee has fully recovered from their injury
• Notification where a referral to a specialist is required including review and redirection management of the injury.
