COVID-19 Risk Assessment for Vulnerable Workers

In March 2020, the Australian Prime Minister and the National Cabinet “strongly advised” that vulnerable people should stay at home as much as practical.

It was recommended that vulnerable workers should undertake a risk assessment, which assesses the characteristics of the worker, the workplace and the work. This includes ensuring vulnerable people are redeployed to non-customer based roles where possible. Where risk cannot be appropriately mitigated, employers and employees need to consider alternate arrangements to accommodate a workplace absence.

Based on this, Resile has developed an integrated and online process for Australian businesses to quickly and effectively assess the vulnerability of their workers and then work out a management plan tailored to their work, risk level and the company’s internal policies.

Assess: An online risk assessment tool, which identifies vulnerable workers through evidence-based tools. This includes psychosocial risk. We will provide a report identifying and categorising vulnerable workers into their level of risk (physical and psychosocial) and recommend actions for each risk group.
Review: Pending the risk assessment of a worker, a Telehealth consultation will be set up with a medical professional for further review and to determine steps moving forward.
Manage: if the Telehealth session determines the worker is at risk, our Occupational Physicians will develop a tailored Health Management Plan.
