Dr Robert McCartney is a physician who has specialised in the field of Occupational Medicine for over 20 years. His career goal is to maximise the health, wellbeing and productivity of working people.
He is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine with the Royal Australian College of Physicians and a past president of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine.
He has extensive experience in the prevention, diagnosis and management of occupational injury and illness. This experience combined with his understanding of internal risk context and business imperatives enables him to provide effective and efficient solutions to the employers whilst serving the needs of employees.
Dr McCartney is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, a certified Medical Review Officer with the Australasian Medical Review Officers Association and the Medical Review Officer Certification Council, a Nominated Medical Advisor to the Queensland Coal Mine Worker’s Health Scheme and consults for Workcover Queensland.
Dr Simon White has worked in various industries over the last 25 years.
He brings a rich background of clinical expertise and industry experience having worked as a metallurgist; laboratory manager, physiotherapist; and Orthopaedic PHO prior to joining Resile.
Dr White intuitively understands the benefits Occupational Medicine delivers to industry and workforces.
He has worked in many industries in Australia and abroad including aviation, surface and underground mines, chemical laboratories, power stations, and manufacturing but to name a few. He is highly motivated to deliver quality services using innovative methods including web-based technology.
Dr White’s blend of experience and calm reasoned manner makes him frequently sought by clients for his management of challenging cases.
Dr White is a fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM), holds a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery; Double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercise science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Chem/Phys) and a Graduate Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety.
He has taught in the University of Queensland Rural Medical School running the rural health project and has been an Associate lecturer for medical students on clinical hospital placements.
He is a board certified independent medical examiner (CIME- ABIME), Medical Review Officer with the Australasian Medical Review Officers Association, an accredited Appointed Medical Advisor (AMA) to the Queensland Coal Mine Worker’s Health Scheme and is an Authorised Health Professional for the Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board.
Dr Khayyam Altaf is an Occupational Health doctor working with Resile and also a General Practitioner in Melbourne. Dr Altaf works alongside and under the supervision of Dr Robert McCartney in Fairfield, Victoria offering various medical screening and fitness for duty assessments.
He has significant experience in the rail transport sector from time spent with Capita Health & Wellbeing in the United Kingdom providing occupational health services to Virgin Trains, Cross Country and DB Schencker; and Midlands Occupational Health Service who provided occupational health services to Midland Trams.
Dr Altaf has been involved with the UK military pre-employment assessments as well as Oil and Gas UK. He is also registered with CASA to undertake aviation medicals for pilots.
Dr Honor Magon is an Occupational and Environmental Medicine Registrar, training to be a specialist occupational and environmental physician.
She has particular interests in preventative mental health strategies, the impact of digital systems on workplace health, and occupational medicine in the health care industry.
Melinda Christo has worked in occupational health and safety for in excess of 20 years.
Melinda’s innate understanding of occupational health challenges combined with her experience enables her to quickly pin point key issues and communicate these. Melinda works closely with the Occupational Physician team to guide clients through complex scenarios and implement major projects.
Starting her career as an Occupational Health Nurse within various industries, Melinda then commenced working with an occupational medicine provider (Health for Industry) managing injury management clinics and undertaking business development.
She has continued to work in operational and business development roles in various entities using her technical expertise to ensure the delivery of high quality services to best meet client requirements.
Melinda has completed qualifications in Applied Science (Nursing) and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Science (Community Nursing majoring in Occupational Health).
