Medical Management Consultations (MMC)

Medical Management Consultations (MMC) is Resile’s telemedicine service for non-acute injuries.

MMC can assist with anything from relatively minor concerns to major issues, all via teleconsulting so your employees can remain onsite whenever possible.

MMC

• Available during business hours anywhere in Australia;
• Provides telephone/video consultation with doctors specialising in Occupational Health and with comprehensive training in Workers’ Compensation;
• Allows Resile to coordinate the ill or injured worker’s care including investigations, treatment, follow-up appointments and return to work;
• Proactively manages cases from injury/symptom reporting through to resolution;
• Provides full medical and treatment records via <ROLF> – Resile’s web-based portal;
• Covers all non-acute cases – both work and non-work related.

Quality medical advice when and where you need it

Occupational Health Doctors, by virtue of their specialist training, give more specific diagnoses and assessments when compared to other generalist medical providers.

Resile’s doctors are likely to have visited your workplace or been to a similar site and are able to assess how medical conditions, diseases and illness or injury may affect an individual’s ability to function both at work and in normal daily activities. Our doctors bring this expertise to examining diagnostic, causation, management, impairment and work capacity issues.

MMC may be particularly helpful in the following situations:

• Difficult or long-standing cases. If you are having trouble liaising with treating doctors to get a speedy safe return to pre-injury duties for your workers, let MMC help you. Resile’s experienced doctors will teleconsult with your employee and then discuss the cases with the treating doctors and allied health care professionals. In most cases, we successfully get people back to work effectively.
• Case reviews. Is there room for improvement in your approach to Occupational Health? Reviews of previous cases may assist your organisation to better manage your employees’ health and reduce the risk of injury to themselves or others.
• Managing return to work following non-work related health issues. Employers need to ensure the health and safety of employees who may be affected by non-work related injuries and illnesses. Is the worker fit to undertake the essential inherent requirements of their role? Is there a risk of exacerbation?
