Many industries have to deal with biological hazards, human services (childcare, aged care, education), industries dealing with animals (farming, veterinary care etc.), plumbing and waste management.
Biological hazards can cause a range of ailments, from minor to catastrophic health effects, such as
- a dose of the influenza
- the effects of toxoplasmosis
- cytomegalovirus on an unborn child
- q-fever and
- cardiac complications.
Some biological hazards can be managed with vaccination, this service assists in determining, based on scientific methods, what vaccines should be mandated and what vaccines should be recommended.
As health specialists, we have developed a proprietary risk assessment model in order to apply a scientific framework to assess these risks.
How does it work?
Our multi-disciplinary team will conduct a visit and review available documentation, conduct any necessary research, provide a report detailing the risk assessment and recommendations for control.
Additional services may include policy and procedure review or drafting and risk communication.
