Why do you need it?
Job task analysis allows a thorough understanding of the physical requirements of a particular task, role or duties. Knowing what is required for the job task allows for accurate determinations for fitness for work at the pre-employment stage or for periodic assessments and the creation of suitable duties plans.
How does it work?
An experienced Resile Allied Health Team Member completes a review of provided documentation and a site visit before providing a report. The report includes:
- the complexity of a task
- task duration and variability
- the frequency of the task
- task sequence
- tools required for the task
- the required user skills, education, and training and
- job demands.

They review provided documentation which can include previous job task analysis, documentation about the role, video footage and others. They will then do a site visit. At this site visit, they will:
- observe the tasks in the role
- collect evidence and document task requirements with short notes and photos
- interview workers doing the role
- verify any information previously provided .
They will then prepare and provide a complete report which details the analysis, including:
- the complexity of a task
- task duration and variability
- the frequency of the task
- task sequence
- tools required for the task
- the required user skills, education, and training and
- job demands.
Job demands describes what is demanded of the worker to complete the job, this includes:
- physical/Manual Handling demands of the task
- cognitive demands
- psychological demands
- work environment
- PPE
- equipment and
- hours of work.
