Health Monitoring

Order 45

Why do you need it?

Coal Services Health Monitoring Requirements for Coal Mine Workers Order No. 45 (Order 45) details the processes and systems to protect the health and safety of workers in the NSW coal industry.

How does it work?

Order 45 assessment will be required every 3 years, or more frequently if required by the EMO.

Additionally, assessment such as 2 yearly audiometry for hearing conservation or Schedule 14 health monitoring is supported to comply with general legislative health and safety regulations (as far as reasonably practical except where this conflicts with an approved enterprise agreement, in which case the terms of the approved enterprise agreement will prevail).

Order 45 removes the pre-employment medical from the scheme. There will be an initial assessment for new to NSW mining workers. The medical assessment is then portable throughout the industry.

These assessments can be conducted, in our clinics, via our network providers or at your site for the convenience of your organisation and your employees.
